Mother’s Day Dairy Doldrums! May 15, 2012

Filed under: Uncategorized — uamamabear @ 3:02 pm

As you know from past post we have become Gluten-free and we have been testing out the Dairy-free side of eating also. So…this past weekend for Mother’s Day, we made sure that all food was safe and Gluten-Free for our middle son, but we were a little lax on the Dairy. I am always asking myself as we delve into something new, is this really working? Well we found out today that my son probably should stay away from dairy as well as gluten. He was irritable, fatigued, had a headache and his sinuses were stuffy.

After researching on the web about Dairy Intolerance – did you know that dairy intolerance can cause depression, headaches, sinus pain, asthma, along with stomach and bowel problems. Both my son and I now realize that we need to stay away from both Gluten and Dairy.  I knew that there were food allergies/intolerance that caused behavior changes and digestive problems, but I am learning so much along the way! If you have any suggestions or something you have learned about food, I would love to hear from you!

Absolutely…Jackson experiences HUGE behavior changes after consuming dairy: weepiness, aggression, anxiety, sleeplessness not to mention horrible tummy pain and constipation.
